Environmental protection is an intrinsic corporate matter for us
We do not just bear this responsibility for ourselves and for our generation, we want to leave a healthy environment for our children and future generations as well. As the first company in the sun and weather protection market to be certified according to ISO 14001 for environmental management, we strive for a CO2-optimised production and logistics.

The responsible use of resources is an important social duty that we take very seriously. We regularly monitor, check and evaluate the impact of our activities and take appropriate measures to improve the protection of the environment along with health and safety at work.
Environmentally-friendly production and the latest technologies
Our production facilities in Solothurn Schönenwerd and Thanvillé (France) are both modern and economical. Because we use the latest technologies and innovative production processes, we are able to produce the entire product range in the most environmentally-friendly and emission-free way possible.
Environmentally-friendly powder coating
The powder coatings we use do not contain heavy metals. We avoid the use of solvents that are harmful to the environment throughout our entire production process. We minimise the amount of water used in the baths for pretreating the powder coating (degreasing, pre-washing, rinsing) by applying an optimised process.
Customer and environmentally-friendly structure
Because of our decentralised organisation, with 38 branches throughout Switzerland, our fitters and technicians need only cover a short distance before arriving at the customer’s site. This saves time and money and is better for the environment. We supply our 38 branches once a week with one of our own vehicles, so that all our new or revised products and spare parts are transported in an efficiently and eco-friendly way. Through optimumised logistics, we avoid empty journeys.
Cutting-edge vehicle fleet
We place great importance on ensuring that our vehicles, from passenger cars, service vehicles, trucks, to the Skyworkers, correspond to the latest technological advances. We deliberately choose vehicles with low pollution emissions and low fuel consumption. Our trucks meet the latest Euro 5 standard. This contributes significantly to the reduction in fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and noise.
Transparent disposal concept
Our disposal concept is clearly defined and fully documented. The disposal routes - both internal and external - are clearly and completely traceable at all times. Small and medium-sized quantities of waste material that collect at construction sites are picked up there and transported to the central collection point in Schönenwerd once a week. The company’s own waste disposal team from Schönenwerd collects larger quantities of waste material directly from the construction site.
The material collected is divided into two groups
- Reusable waste materials that are separated into different vats: wood, cardboard and paper, plastic, aluminium, steel
- Refuse that is incinerated
- Aluminium, a component of many of our products, can be reused as often as necessary without any loss in quality. This is a process that requires just 5% of the energy needed for the production of "new" aluminium from ore.
Products to improve energy efficiency
Intelligent solar shading improves energy efficiency According to a scientific study by the ES-SO (European Solar Shading Organization) energy savings of as much as 10% are possible. On hot days, shading helps protect buildings from overheating. Up to 90% of the heat can be prevented before it reaches the glass pane, which in turn reduces the energy consumption of air-conditioning systems. On cool days, solar energy can be used by allowing the sunlight into the interior. At night, the shading system reduces the dissipation of the heat outdoors.
